Managed Forest Plan Approvers

The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (OMNR) maintains a list of approved Managed Forest Plan Approvers (MFPA). A list of Managed Forest Plan Approvers can be found on the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resource’s Web site. Here you can search for MFPAs by name, by region, or you can view the whole list.

Please note that MFPAs are independent contractors and are not employed by the OMNR.

How to Become a Managed Forest Plan Approver

A Managed Forest Plan Approver (MFPA) is a designation assigned by the Ministry of Natural Resources to those qualified individuals who are authorized to approve Managed Forest Plans under the Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program. 

The Ontario Woodlot Association (OWA) manages the MFPA program on behalf of the Ministry of Natural Resources.   Individuals interested in obtaining MFPA status should contact the OWA at (613) 258-0110 ext. 221 for more information or e-mail us.
